Interactive Brokers Backfilling Continuous Volume Bars

Hi -

I'm trying to display continuous volume bars with data pulled from a live IB account.

1) The chart populates fine as long as I'm connected to with TWS, but I can't get the chart to back fill with older data. How do I get NT to request historic tick data from IB, or is that not possible?

2) I think I have the chart data series set up correctly for 16807 vol, but would appreciate it if someone can confirm for me. I'm looking to build charts per William (Bill) Schamp's CVB definitions.

Unfortunately, Interactive Brokers doesn't have historical Tick Data available for download on their servers for any instruments. For extra reference, you may view all types of data supported by each data provider for NinjaTrader 8 here in our Help Guide - Data by Provider.

In regards to your last question, you do have your chart correctly set for 16807 Volume, but I am not familiar with the William Schamp CVB definitions, so may wish to reach out to the developer or person you found this from directly for any assistance with making sure your charts in NinjaTrader match what you are looking for.
