High commissions

I think I've got my commissions setup correctly. I'm still using the sim account with a lifetime lease. According to the "Trade Performance" window, I did 240 trades (all ES MES and NQ) and the commissions are listed at over $1100! I thought ES trades were around $1.50 or so per trade including exchange fees. $5 per trade seems excessive. Something isn't right.

Thank you for your note.

You may always confirm your actual commissions on your account with your broker.

With the commission templates the 'Per-Unit commission' value is per each side of a trade per contract.

For example with the default Lifetime Commissions template the Per-Unit commission for ES is $2.04 this means on a round trip trade for 1 contract, total commissions would be $4.08.

Then with 2 contract this would be $8.16 so one and so forth.

If the commission templates you see don't suit you, then you would have to create a custom commissions template which you may do so by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Commissions. In this window, click, "add" in the Templates section towards the bottom left side to create a new template. Next, depending on the instrument type you intend on trading, click on the instrument type in the 'Commission per instrument type' section, and click edit. Lastly, add the 'Minimum commission' or 'Per-unit commission' and then click 'OK'. Follow the above steps to apply the commission template to your account.

Unfortunately, the prior orders you've executed will not be applied with commissions, however, the new orders you execute will have the commissions applied.
