Symbol map differences between NT7 and NT8

Hello guillembm,
Thank you for your note.
In general, scripts are not compatible between NT7 and NT8.
If you would like more information on how they would differ or how to address this subject specfically, please let me know and I'll have a member of our scripting support team reach out to assist further.

Hello guillembm,
Thank you for the clarification.
This difference between the symbol mappings in the two platforms is due to the way the currency is calculated for P&L in the platforms.
NT7 requires you to also subscribe to the Forex pair that exchanges the base currency for your account currency, or P&L is not correctly calculated.
(For example: if you trade EURJPY, this means EURO is the base currency)
In NT7, profit and loss is now shown on Euro, unless you also chart the USDEUR, then NT7 can use that information to show you the P&L in USD.
In NT8, the "piping" symbol mapping for IB allows you to select the currency you want to see the P&L in which is set to USD by default.
Please let us know if we may assist further.
