    Error sending message: client not authenticated

    trying to set up share service send email using pre-configured gmail settings. what does it mean not authenticated? how to fix that? thanks

    Thank you for your note.

    This would possibly indicate that your username or password is incorrect or NinjaTrader is not able to access your account.

    I would first ensure that the username field does not contain '@gmail.com'.

    Then also that your g-mail account is enabled to 'allow less-secure' applications using the steps below:
    • Go to www.google.com and log into your Gmail account
    • In the top right corner of the browser window left-click on the colored circle and select 'Google Account'
    • Next, left-click on the 'Manage Google Account'
    • Select the Security tab on the left side
    • Turn the 'Less secure app access' on

      thanks for your reply. i did all that and got the following error: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was authenticated. The server response was 5.7.0 Authentication required. Is the Username, password my ninja credentials or my gmail credentials?

              You can find a solution at the following forum thread.
              Hi, I can't send an email alert using the share services. Your video says allow less secure apps must be enabled in Google gmail accounts. Google says"allow less secure apps" no longer supported as of May 30 2022. Please advise? David
