Some background: I use a laptop, so I move around a lot. At home I have two external monitors that I connect to my laptop. However, when I'm travelling I usually don't take those monitors along with me. In the past, if I disconnected a monitor from the PC, then whatever NT windows were on that monitor were simply not displayed, and there was no way to access them (other Windows apps automatically re-position those windows to the remaining monitor). This issue now seems to be solved by one of your updates. (I didn't notice when this first became functional because I've been pretty good at manually re-positioning the NT windows to my laptop monitor before disconnecting the external monitors. I happened not to do that this time, thus my recent discovery.)
Oddly, the above described re-positioning didn't happen with the "Output" window. Any reason why?
So, further to this: Could you enable the keyboard positioning of windows? That is, with pretty much all other Windows apps one can use the cursor arrows to position a window by using Alt-space.
Similarly, with other Windows apps one can "crash" the window to one side of the monitor or the other. The result is the window is fully "against" that side (and also expanded to the full length of the display). Also, by double-clicking on the top of the window, the window will then be expanded to the full length (top to bottom) of the display. Finally, if one double-clicks on the "ribbon" the window is expanded to max size (ie, full size of the monitor). Then, when one double-clicks on the ribbon, the window goes back to the previous size and location. However, when doing that to an NT window, the window is re-sized to some other size, as well as location. This is annoying.
The above features in NT would be nice to have. Is there any way to incorporate them now ? (Why were they not included in the first place ?)
