Fresh install getting errors - cant start up

i tried to run the version 8 i had installed but not used for over a year. it said i had to upgrade to newest version. so i removed the nt v8 install, downloaded the new install ms1 (windows 10) and ran it and it installed ok.

    now i get:
"Unable to load custom assembly, original version has been restored. you need to compile your custom ninjascript files"

but i dont have any... i tried renaming the directory... uninstall... reinstall and exact same thing.

how can i get this installed?

    thanks.

    Hello cagem,
    Thank you for the message.

If the following message appears when trying to open NinjaTrader and then it closes and does not let you proceed forward, please use the steps below:
    • "Unable to load custom assembly, original version has been restored. you need to compile your custom ninjascript files"

Please hold down the Ctrl (Control) key on your keyboard and click to open NinjaTrader. Keep the Ctrl key held down until you see the splash screen show the words "Safe Mode". This will cause the platform to start in safe mode and stabilize the platform.

From here close out of the platform and open it again like regular.
    • Does the platform open now?

If yes, please follow the instructions below to see where the errors are coming from after compiling the indicator. This will allow you to debug the indicator/strategy or remove it from your PC. If you are wondering why you receive an error when compiling only one indicator, it is because NinjaTrader always compiles all indicators and strategies - not just one. This is done to give you the highest runtime performance possible.
    • Open NinjaTrader
    • From the Control Center select the New menu--> select NinjaScript Editor
    • Right-click in the window and select Compile to compile all NinjaScript objects
    • At the bottom of the NinjaScript Editor window, a new section will appear where you can find the error locations
    • You can exclude the file referenced in the editor by double-clicking on the appropriate object type on the right of the NinjaScript Editor window. This will expand the object type folder. You can then select the file with a left-click--> right click on the object--> then select Open to begin debugging the file, Exclude From Compilation, or Remove to delete the file.
If there are no errors appearing in here, then opening the platform in Safe Mode by holding the Ctrl key while opening NinjaTrader resolved these and you are good to go.

If there are errors and you are unsure as to what the error is indicating, please send me a screenshot of the NinjaScript File column and Error column fully visible (not to be confused with the Code column)
    • If you are unsure of how to take a screenshot, I recommend using the Windows Snipping tool.
    • Click on the Windows Icon at the bottom of your screen and type the word "Snip"
    • Click on the Snipping tool, click New, then click and drag around the area you want to screenshot
    • Click File > Save As > Save the screenshot where you can find it
