NT8 New Release

    NT8 New Release

    I keep trying to do the recent release 8.0.25 in November. It crashes and will not install. I have been contacting NT support since
    November 26, 2021. I get no answer to repeated emails.

    Is NT still in business. Do I need MultiCharts?

    NinjaTrader is still in business, please ensure that NinjaTrader is added to and spam/junk filters or firewalls for your e-mail client as our replies may have been blocked or placed in your junk or spam folders.

    Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

    Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

      Hi rtj4201,

      There is an issue if you are updating from a version prior to 8.0.24. If you are, download prior version from download site and install that. That is version 8.0.24..See if that starts up ok, then upgrade to 8.0.25.

        This is my current version. 8.0.24.2 64-bit. So, what else is the issue. There was a day when NT would login or solve issue ASAP. I guess those
        days are gone

          Than you for your post. I have verified on our end that we have replied to your Gmail email address a number of times - I will resend again now (~8:00 PM EST). Please check you spam, junk or the "Promotions" tab if using the Gmail app for our reply. I have also advised below:

          I suggest running the below, publicly available Fix It utility by Microsoft. This program is able to look into many Windows items that may be stopping the installation, first use it to Uninstall NinjaTrader.

          Once complete, please also ensure your Windows version is updated, restart and test downloading again.

              Thank you for your reply.

              This error indicates an issue with the Windows installer or disk issue - often the update or previous utility is able to correct this, so do ensure to check for Windows updates and try running again if not already completed. There may also be another program that is stopping the installer, like an antivirus or other security program.

              The below Windows troubleshooter is able to diagnose and repair issues of this nature.

                      I reviewed Windows update before I do any install. Windows 10 is up to date

                        I also disabled Malwarebytes before install, no help.

                            Can I backup NT8 currently using. Uninstall NT8 current version. Install new version 8.0.25?

                              Before uninstalling I would like to check for other errors within your Event Viewer logs that may be causing this behavior.
                              Please send me your Windows Event Viewer logs. To get the Event Viewer log please do the following:
                              • Go to the start menu in Windows and search for Event Viewer
                              • Expand 'Windows Logs'
                              • Left click on Application
                              • Right click on Application
                              • Select 'FilterCurrent Log...'
                              • Change the 'Logged' drop down option to 'Last 24 hours' > OK
                              • Right click on Application again
                              • Select 'Save Filtered Log File As...'
                              Make note of the save location, Enter a name for the file, and select Save

                              Next please the saved Event Viewer please go to Help->Email Support and be sure to include Attn: Chris Jameson in the Subject line, a link to this thread in the body->Put a check in the box for "Log and trace files" and attach your Event Viewer log file to the email.
