Trend channels inconsistent across different time intervals

    Hi,

I'm having a problem with trend channels that are global draw objects. They don't meet price in the same place on charts of different time intervals.

Attached are a 60 minute chart and a 30 minute chart. 15956.75 is inside the green channel on the 60 minute chart but outside the channel of the 30 minute chart. Global draw object is checked, so the channels should be in the same place relative to price. Another example... The close of 15830 is in the middle of the red channel on the 60 min but on the top border of the channel on the 30 min.

How can I make these global draw object consistent, when applied globally or cut and pasted?

    Thanks.

    Hello manraygun,

Please note that it can be as expected that the drawing objects are distorted in different charts. Drawing objects are drawn as per its anchor points. If you double click the drawing object to open its properties menu, you will see its anchor points under 'Data'. These should be the same in both charts.

If you look at the price scale of the drawing object, it must be exact for the anchor points to align in the same place on each chart. The anchor points for the drawing object remains the same, but the scaling of the chart itself has shifted.

      Thanks Jason.

Yes, my anchor points are the same on both charts. How do I make sure they have the same price scale? When I adjust the price scale by dragging up or down, it doesn't move the relative position of the channel on either chart. Auto scale checked? Unchecked?

Unfortunately this is not supported. You would have to select the same time interval in both charts.

Please tell your boss that consistent trend lines is not a futuristic fantasy. Many of your competitors, like TradingView, deliver it now.
          Thanks.
