Closing orders via drawing object
Is there an easier way to close orders via a drawing object? For example, if I want to close an order (which uses an ATM ) once price touches/crosses a trend channel's parallel line, or midline... it seems I can't do this as there are no options when looking through the conditions under alerts. There's only the trendline itself. So I'd presume the workaround to accomplish this would be to use a separate line or ray and then go through the alert menu again so when price crosses the ray I can submit an action. But there is no option to submit a closing order it seems within the actions. Shouldn't "flatten" be an option? The issue that arises if I just submit an order matching my current position quantity is the ATM OCO orders still remain active once the order is closed. Anything I can do here? Thanks.Tags: None

Hi augustfay, thanks for writing in.
This level of automation would need to be done with a NinjaScript Strategy. The Alerts menu does allow order entry and you can use an ATM with that entry but for further automation you would need to use a strategy enabled on the instrument. All of our tools and educational resources for NinjaScript are here:
