Order Flow Delta Type

After reading the following about the difference between Bid/Ask and UpDownTick here: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...etric_bars.htm

I was hoping someone could help elaborate on the difference between the two. When comparing Range 1 Volumetric Bars there is often quite a difference in reported Delta depending on your choice of delta type.

I would love another conceptualization. Thanks

BidAsk - Accumulates the volume of orders filled at the bid or less vs ask or more.

UpDownTick accumulates the volume of up ticks vs down ticks. Here are publicly available resources to explain what uptick and downtick are and how these are calculated.
