NT8 Continuum v Kinetick, Catch-22 "Unknown Instrument"

I can't find an order of connections or any settings to clear up this issue.
I want MNQ realtime feed from Continuum and an Index (master symbol ATHI_NQ) from Kinetick. (Kinetick symbol mapping: H0QH.Z).
If I connect to Continuum or Kinetick individually everything works fine. I can chart MNQ and ATHI_NQ.

If I connect Continuum and then Kinetick
- I get a realtime Continuum chart of MNQ - good!
- I can't open a chart for ATHI_NQ. I get "Error on requesting bars series: Unknown Instrument for ^ATHI_NQ"

If I shut everything down, start up and connect Kinetick first and then Continuum
- I get the delayed Kinetick data for MNQ - bad!
- I get a realtime chart for ATHI_NQ - good!

I'm hoping there's some setting in the instrument to specify which data sources to consider. The only symbol mapping I have for ATHI_NQ is Kinetick. And I've made sure the Kinetick symbol mapping for MNQ is blank. That doesn't seem to make a difference.

How can I configure a single specific data source for an instrument? Or is there some other solution?

Thank you for your post.

It's not possible to specify the data source for a specific instrument, however, you can set a preferred connection for each instrument type. So you can set your Continuum connection to provide futures data, and set your Kinetick connection to provide Index data.

You can set these under Tools > Options > Market Data > Preferred Connections - Historical and Preferred Connections - Real Time:

Set Kinetick as the preferred historical and real time provider for Index and Continuum as the preferred provider for futures and you should see both work when connected.
