    Error on Log Tab when running Strategy

    Hello guys,

    I'm getting this error on the Log tab when enabling my strategy:

    Error on executing DB command: System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeException (0x80004005): There is insufficient disk space to complete operation. at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeCommand.ProcessResult s(Int32 hr) at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeCommand.ExecuteComman dText(IntPtr& pCursor Boolean& isBaseTableCursor) at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeCommand.ExecuteComman d(CommandBehavior behavior String method ResultSetOptions options) at System.Data.SqlServerCe.SqlCeCommand.ExecuteNonQue ry() at NinjaTrader.NinjaScript.StrategyBase.DbAdd() at NinjaTrader.Cbi.DB.DBThread()

    Does anyone know how to solve it?

    Thanks for your post.

    The error mentions "There is insufficient disk space to complete operation."

    I would suggest freeing space on your C drive or where your Documents folder is located as the database file would reside in the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\ folder.

      Thank you Jim! I have 15 GB of free space. So I still don't know why I get this message.

        Hello facuevasm,

        Could you confirm if you also see the issue with the SampleMACrossover strategy, or is it just seen with your strategy?

        Could you reach out to me at platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with the text "Attn Jim 3350617" and include a screenshot showing the diskspace available, and could you also include your log and trace files?

        I also would like to know if you see the issue after renaming your data bade file. For example, you can do the following to rename the database file:
        1. Close NinjaTrader
        2. Navigate to the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\ folder
        3. Rename NinjaTrader.sdf to "NinjaTraderSAVE.sdf"
        4. Restart NinjaTrader
        5. Test again to reproduce the issue
        Attaching Log and Trace files

        You may follow the steps below to send your log and trace file to us over email:
        • Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
        • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
        • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to your email.
        • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
        Attaching a Screenshot

        To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.
