Disk cloning and Machine ID retention

If I clone my primary drive (where the NT-8 files reside), will the new clone retain the original machine ID, or will that create a new machine ID as well? Thanks!

Yes, this will almost definitely change your Machine ID. You will need to re-input your Live License Key, your Live Connection username/passwords, and update the vendors of any 3rd-party add-ons that you are using of your new Machine ID as well.

Please keep in mind that NinjaTrader does not control your computer's Machine ID in any way. When the platform detects this number change on your computer though, this information is removed as a security precaution to make it impossible for someone to copy/paste your NinjaTrader 8 Documents onto a different machine and access your account.
