Auto close position

I entered two markets - ES and NG. If I want ES to auto close position at 4pm ET and don't want NG to close automatically on the same day. How can I configure on NT8? Thanks.

Thank you for your post.

Glad to assist. To accomplish this, go to Tools > Options > Trading. Under Auto close, first check Enable then under Instruments, use the dialog box to select NG. Set your desired Auto close time > Press OK. This will ensure your NG is set to auto close but the ES will not.

Thanks Eric, I want to make sure that I want to set auto close to NG but not ES. So, I should add ES to Tools > Options > Trading but not the NG. Right? On the Chart Trader, I found the 'Auto close position' option when I right-clicked the panel. What's the difference between the option and Tools > Options > Trading?

You will need to add the Instrument you wish to have auto close, so in this case you would NG. The right click option is the same option, the same time set under Tools > Options > Trading Auto close will be used when enabling from right click. See below for more information.

Thanks Eric. Just want to clarify.

I included 9 instruments in the list to be closed at 4pm. For example, NG is not included. Can I say that the 9 instruments will be closed at 4pm and NG not in the list will not be closed automatically?

Btw, I don't see the option as shown at https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...e_position.htm. Is it for NT7?

You can designate any number of instruments to be closed within this window.

The page you refer to should appear when you right click the superdom window.

Unfortunately you cannot setup multiple times to auto close your positions from within the platform.
