How do I upgrade my NT account in order to look at charts of NYSE stocks?

You would need to open a separate account with a third-party broker in order to use NinjaTrader to trade stocks. NinjaTrader will support stock trading with either Interactive Brokers or TD Ameritrade. Connecting to an account with one of these brokers will provide real-time and historical minute data that you can use within NinjaTrader for charting and analytics.
Alternatively, you can receive stock data into NinjaTrader by subscribing to an independent market data vendor like Kinetick. This will provide market data on a monthly subscription basis so you can create stock charts within NinjaTrader.
