zig zag not plotting

Hi

The ZigZag indicator is not plotting. I have a chart linked to a market analyzer. Zig zag plots on the original chart i add it to, but if i change the symbol by clicking on a different symbol in my market analyzer list the zig zag indicator is 'on the chart' (shown at top of chart) but it does not actually plot? How do I make it plot on change of symbol. I've not changed any of the default zigzag settings.

Hello murfinp,

This is due to the 'Deviation value' of 0.5 and forex instruments using 5 decimals. If you enter a value of 0.0005 instead, does the Zig zag indicator plot?

Hi Jason, Thanks that makes it work, however, its making to many zigzags ... is there generally accepted values for pairs trading to 3 and 5 places? Cheers

This would be subjective to each trader's trading preferences so we can't advise any 'normal' or 'standard' values unfortunately.
