Charts stopped updating?

Had cryptic API error message on Monday, which I unfortunately lost due a computer reboot.

But my charts have stopped updating although I see the price, bid and ask values changing in chart trader.

May you please help?

Follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
• Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

NinjaTrader_JustinD Thank you Justin. I followed your advice and installed the latest versions of NInja and IB but the problem persisted. I went to re-compile the custom code and getting this now - how do I resolve this, please?

Thank you for that screenshot.


This error is caused when a .dll file is being referenced that NinjaTrader is unable to find.

Steps to Resolve

1. Right-click within the NinjaScript Editor window and select "References".
2. Locate and select the reference to the .dll file mentioned in the Error.
3. Click "remove" to remove the reference.
4. Click "OK" and recompile.

Once these errors are resolved, you will be able to import and manage any custom NinjaScripts and add-ons again as you normally would.

Hi NinjaTrader_JustinD. Thank you for the reply. I've done as suggested and was able to re-compile the code, however, still the charts are not updating in real time even though chart trader shows changes to bid, ask, and sizes. So back to the original problem. What are the next steps?

c.amoros hey, I just solved my issue. not sure if it will be the same for you but looks like my TWS updated last week into an unsupported version.

I uninstalled TWS and did the latest java update and grab the TWS version indicated here and now I am back in business:
