make an account invisible
Hello, my ninjatrader account has 3 accounts, 2 sims and an evaluation account. Is it possible to delete or make invisible a sim account so that it disappears from the box?
Thank you.Tags: None

I would like to offer a feature request along this line... From the Control Center, to have the ability to **hide** certain accounts without deleting them. This ability would apply to ANY and ALL ACCOUNTS that appear in the Control Center at any time.
Other trading platforms I have used in the past and currently use, all have this ability. It is very useful, especially when sharing a screen and doing chart work with other traders... you want to be able to only show maybe one account that is a SIM account or somethin like that. Each and every account that shows up in Control Center should be able to be hidden from the Accounts tab.
Thank you.

yes that is nice Thank You ...but it is just a privacy feature. what I really want to do is similar to what TastyTrade does where I can hide the account as a whole.... see attached
this screenshot of TastyTrade account config panel shows 2 things .... (1) the Privacy Mode which is the same thing you just told me about NT8... it1 Photo

another reason to be able to temporarily completely hide certain accounts.... Ninjatrader is the platform of choice for all of the prop funding accounts. Many of us use our NinjaTrader CQG connection as first and primary and then second connect to an Apex account (or one of the others)... This can make for many accounts showing in the Accounts tab. It would really help to be able to only show the accounts we want to be focused on at the time, by temporarily hiding the ones we dont want to focus on.... As an example, I currently have 22 accounts showing. This is a mix of personal live accounts, prop funding accounts, and sim accounts... I dont need to see the SIM accounts that I use for back-testing while I am trading as they just clutter my view and definitely not good for focus. If I am focusing on my prop accounts, then I dont need to see my personal live accounts... And with one of my prop funding connections I currently have 10 accounts... well, maybe I only want to focus on a few of them at a time... I would like to not have to look at all of them all the time.
Suffice to say for many reasons, we are in a time when traders will have more accounts on their screen than they might have in the past.... the need to quickly and temporarily hide accounts is something Ninjatrader should allow us to do.

I am aware that this option is not available within NinjaTrader Desktop at this time. Please consider this a feature request.

Here is another possible solution.. and one that is very easy to implement. This would solve the issue in the simplest way but if used alot would take more time..
This solution would be to add a checkbox for "Visible" on the Edit Account screen.

This feature request can be tracked with ID # SFT-4408.
You can request an update on any tracking ID on the forum or via email to our platform support team, and we can share any new information we have on the request.
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Please add my vote for this feature request. There are times when the number of accounts showing makes the platform nearly dysfunctional. I don't want to see accounts that I am not actively trading that day according to my trade plan.
