    missing data

    I'm missing historical data from 4:30 am to 7am this morning. I've tried multiple data providers with same issue, so is it NT issue?

    Thank you for your post.


    I suggest clearing the cache in order to see if this resolves this item. To delete the cache, follow the steps below.
    • Shut down NinjaTrader
    • Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db folder
    • Delete the sub-folders named cache, day, minute, and tick
    • Restart NinjaTrader, connect to data, and test

    These steps will cause NinjaTrader to pull fresh data from your data provider's servers rather than use the data that was previously stored in those folders to load the chart. For more information on how historical data works in the platform:




    If this does not resolve your inquiry, please answer all of the following questions:
    • What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.?.?)
    • Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on the lower-left corner of the Control Center window.
    • Do you receive an error on the screen? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      I have the same problem , even after followed the instruction above still didn't solve the missing data from 18:00 to 21:45 of Dec 4, 2023.
      All the recent days have all the data but Dec 4th, 2023.
      I have connection with TopsTep, and Apex.
      Could you please help me out?

        Hello binli,

        Our historical data servers experienced a brief outage and are currently missing some of the historical data from today's session.

        This data will be backfilled early tomorrow morning and will then be available. I can only apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.

            Thanks for your reply.


            At this time I can confirm that the servers are back online and have been backfilled with data. Please restart the platform and reconnect and let me know if you see the same.
