    Unable to access NT8 (program does not run!)

    I have sudden issues on trying to run NT8. I had no issues over the past year or so. There's this sudden sound that comes on after loading and the program does not load.
    Kindly help, thank you!

    I'm having the same issue; there was a Windows 10 update yesterday for me so I suspect this is causing the issue.
    Waiting for fix.

      Hello,

      Thank you for your posts.

      To resolve, you will need to ensure that you are using the latest version of NT8. The latest version of NinjaTrader 8 is 8.0.24.3. If you are not using the latest version. Please update NinjaTrader with the steps below. You can check your NinjaTrader version by going Help > About.

      NOTE: This will NOT remove any of your indicators, workspaces, charts, connections, or other settings provided you DO NOT delete the NinjaTrader 8 Folder in the My Documents directory of Windows.
      • First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help > License Key then
      • Go to Help > Download.
      • Enter your license key and press Submit
      • Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
      • Select 'Download'
      • Exit NinjaTrader
      • Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.
      Please do not hesitate to contact us for any other NinjaTrader inquiries you may have.

        Shawn - I'm having the same issue with NT8. It will not start. Because the program will not start, I cannot access the help section to retrieve my license nor am I able to select "Download." I was however able to retrieve my license from where I had it stored and was able to download NT8 8.0.24.3. But after installing it I tried to open the program and got an error message: Unhandled exception: the type initializer for <module> threw an exception." So, now what should I do now? Keep in mind, I would rather not lose indicators, templates or layouts if at all possible.

          Hi Shawn,

          Hope you are doing well.. As mentioned here in earlier post , am also facing same issues in NT8 , which is crashing before opening the program. Also i dont have option to retrieve my license key of NT8, also i have multiple indicators which is bought based on these references. Please provide any method to solve this issue.

            Hi Shawn,

            I just got my license key from archive mails, and downloaded latest version of NT 8, and successfully updated software as per your procedure. Also i could load all my indicators layouts etc...

              You may upgrade the platform here without needing your key.

              You may need to enter your live license key into the platform after upgrading.

                I get this error while trying to update. NT8 is not running in background and is not be used by any other processes. I cannot update the file at all or same message shows and if it try to delete NT8 i get same error.

                  Uninstall / reinstall with new version fixed my issue
