    Error on NT8 program

    Hi,

I am getting the following error when I try to open the NT8 application. I have attached error image.

Things I have tried that were recomended by NT8 support in the past.
    • I have already tried deleting sdf file in the documents folder. No results
    • I have tried uninstall and reinstall the program completely. No results

    Please help thanks,

Are you trying to run NinjaTrader from a different user account than
the one that was used to install it?

Does the user account 'Junaid Buchal' have Administrator access?

Have you changed anything regarding backups or anti-virus?

Has your anti-virus been told to ignore all NinjaTrader files and folders?

Have you adjusted all backup processes so they never run when you are
    using NinjaTrader?

Is the folder "C:\Users\Junaid Buchal\Documents" actually on your C:\
drive or has it been mapped to somewhere else, such as OneDrive or
    Dropbox?

      Hello bjunaid,

The error is typically caused by virus scanner, firewall or other applications that accesses/blocks/scans files in the Documents\NinjaTrader 8 folder as bltdavid mentions. Please make sure to configure your virus scanner or other application (automatic backup software for example) so that none of the files in this directory would be scanned/locked/accessed or remove that directory from the scanning list.

The error can also be caused by a recent Windows update and/or Windows Defender that set the Windows security setting of "Controlled Folder Access" to "On".
      • Please search in Windows for "Controlled Folder Access".
      • Click on "Controlled Folder Access".
      • Turn "Controlled Folder Access" to Off

        Hi Guys,

I was able to solve this problem by allowing my new Antivirus software to allow this application to run.

        Thanks,
