Trade Performance window generates only current week's trades
I have a live account. I can only generate the current week's trades in the Trade Performance window. -
Well, now you have two databases.
Your current DB was born a week ago, and knows nothing about
what happened before it was created.
Your saved DB stopped recording everything when you copied
it to its new saved location.
You're in a bit of a pickle, mate.
As far as I know, there is no way to merge the two databases.
-=o=-
So, uh, why did you delete your "Documents\NinjaTrader 8" folder?
I rarely (if ever) see Support advise someone to delete this folder.
Doing so has several caveats, because your database file is in
there -- your database is at "db\NinjaTrader.sdf" and that is where
all trade history is stored for all accounts, both live and sim.
Support would be cautious and assume your trade history is important,
so they rarely suggest deleting that folder -- there are other very severe
caveats as well -- deleting that folder is like the nuclear option -- it will
lay total waste to absolutely everything, requiring a complete re-install.
[EDIT: You could also restore from a previous NT backup.]
If your database is not found when NT starts, that is not necessarily
a problem. Why? Because NT happily creates a brand new empty
database and merrily goes forward from there -- NT assumes the db
is missing on purpose.

Hello fmart0119,
Thank you for your reply.
As btldavid mentioned, deleting or renaming the Ninjatrader.sdf database file will completely eliminate all of the execution data that is stored in that file, as well as a number of other pieces of information like backtesting results and custom instruments/instrument lists. Unless you are explicitly instructed by our support staff to resolve a problem, we do not recommend tampering with this file at all for that very reason. Additionally, there would not be a way to merge the 2 database files that you now have. The copy that you created before you deleted it will have all of your execution data from prior to this week, and the database file that you have currently in the original NinjaTrader 8 file will have all of your execution history from this week. If you'd like all of your previous execution data and do not mind losing the data from this week, you may simply rename the current NinjaTrader.sdf file to something like 'Ninjatrader.old.sdf' and replace it with the copy that you had previously created.
Moving forward, I would suggest that you resist the temptation to play around with any of the files that are stored in the Documents/NinjaTrader 8 folder unless you are directly instructed to by our staff or you are totally confident that you know exactly what the impact will be. These files contain all of your saved data as well as several necessary system files. Deleting or manipulating these could cause your platform to stop working correctly or result in a loss of your saved data.
To prevent running into situations where you can potentially lose important data, we advise running regular backups via our inbuilt backup feature in NinjaTrader - https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...up_archive.htm
Please feel free to write in with any additional NinjaTrader items we may assist with.
