NT 8.0 Order Entry bar disappears

Hello NT Tech support - Order bar disappears when i attempt to do the following.

1. Enter a bracket order ( Buy Mkt or Sell Mkt).
2. Reverse the trade. ( Click on Rev. Stop loss and Target bars are closed.)
3. Enter the bracket order again ( Buy Mkt or Sell Mkt - what ever was entered in Step 1)
4. Stop Loss and Target Bars appear. Order entry bar is missing.

Looks like a bug to me. (Using NT 8.0.24.3)

By 'bracket' order, you mean an entry order with an ATM strategy, right?

Are you doing these steps in the Chart Trader?

What instrument are using?

When you click on the 'Rev' button, doesn't the current position
get automatically re-established in the opposite direction?

Are you saying this does not happen?

When you click Rev, it should reverse your position with new stop loss and profit target orders as bltdavid mentions.

Could it be you change the ATM strategy between step #1 and #2? If you leave the ATM strategy as is between step #1 and #2, do you have stop loss and profit target orders once the position is reversed?

In addition, please right click in ChartTrader/SuperDOM and select 'Properties'. What setting do you have selected for 'ATM strategy selection mode'?

When I click on Rev, Both the stop loss and Target order bars disappear. Order is reversed, though ( with no new Stop loss or Target)

It does not.

Could it be you change the ATM strategy between step #1 and #2? - No I do not change anything between step 1 and 2

If you leave the ATM strategy as is between step #1 and #2, do you have stop loss and profit target orders once the position is reversed? No new S/L and target orders are created.

Thank you for your reply.

This is occurring because of the 'Keep Selected ATM Strategy Template on Order Submission' setting, and would be expected behavior when using this selection mode. When using this setting, the process is slightly different because the ATM Strategy control menu automatically keeps the template selected, rather than the active ATM strategy. With this ATM Strategy Selection Mode, you must go in and actually select the active ATM Strategy from the menu (represented by a lightening bolt icon) before pressing the Rev button. If you'd prefer to eliminate the extra step of having to select the active ATM Strategy each time, you may also choose to change the ATM Strategy Selection Mode to the 'Display selected ATM Strategy only'.
