    Editing Futures Rollovers not saving

    I have tried to modify the rollover dates for several futures. I have removed a few contracts as the volume is lower. For example on /ZL I have removed 8-21 and 9-21 so it rolls directly from july to dec. I save my workspace after I do this. When I close ninja and reload it the next day these edits are not saved. What am I missing?

    I'd like to take a look at your log and trace files for this issue. These files contain diagnostic information related to what is occurring on your platform that will help us resolve this issue in a timely manner.

    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "3171451 ATTN Marco G" in the subject line and a link to this forum post in the message body so I may investigate this matter further.

    Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
    Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    Once you have emailed these to us, you may delete these compressed folders.

      Hello zharrison,


      The ZL 12-21 doesn't rollover in NinjaTrader until 08/20/2021 If you want to rollover before that and continue to merge past contracts, you will need to adjust the rollover date:
      • Control Center > Tools > Instruments
      • Locate and select 'ZL' > Edit
      • Scroll down and select 'Edit rollovers'
      • Select the '12-21' contract from the 'configured' list
      • Edit the 'rollover date' to any date prior to today > OK > OK > Close
      • Right-click on your chart and select 'reload all historical data'

      If you do not want your charts to merge back past contracts, you can change your merge policy to 'Do Not Merge' under Control Center > Tools > Options > Market Data > Global Merge Policy.
