Error: Unable to load risk template from file 'NinjaTrader Brokerage Default.xml'

When I try to launch NinjaTrader (version 8.0.24.2, 64 bit), I get an error message that says "Unable to load risk template from file 'NinjaTrader Brokerage Default.xml': System ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added at System.ThrowHelper.ThrowargumentException . . . ."

NinjaTrader does go on to launch, but how to do I get rid of that error message? Thanks.

Thank you for your post.

Please close NinjaTrader and navigate to the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\Risk folder and delete the NinjaTrader Brokerage Default.xml file. Then start NinjaTrader again.

Also, I see that you are on an older version of NinjaTrader 8. To upgrade NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below.

• First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
• Select 'Download'
• Exit NinjaTrader
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

The error you're seeing indicates you have multiple copies of the same risk template.

Please close NinjaTrader and navigate to the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\Risk folder and delete the existing files in this location. Then start NinjaTrader again.
