Chart not Updating Automatically

I use Ninja Trader brokerage via Continuum with the live CME data subscription, and that charts don't update unless I right click "reload historical data." Is that normal?

This usually indicates that you are not enabled for real-time data. In this case, historical data will then load whenever you right-click and select this option, but would not continue filling with real-time data.

To correct this, please contact the brokerage directly at brokeragesupport (at) ninjatrader (dot) com. They can then ensure you're enabled for all instruments you wish to trade or receive data for.

A strategy would not work without data; However, this does not necessarily have to be live data.

One option would be to use market replay data to test a strategy, as this would be full Level-2-based data freely available to every NinjaTrader user.
