Default Excahnge, Kinetick and Interactive Brokers

According to the documentation, instruments will use the default exchange which leaves the exchange up to SMART routing. If KineTick is used for market data and Interactive Brokers is used for the broker, is it possible that KineTick will show a market data from a different exchange then used by Interactive Brokers? Hello ntbone,

Stock instruments have 2 exchanges enabled - Default and the exchange where the stock trades. I don't think this can result in data being loaded for a different instrument than intended.

To test, you could only connect to Kinetick and load a chart for the instrument in question. Then disconnect Kinetick and connect to Interactive Brokers. Right click in the chart and select "Reload Alll Historical Data". Check if data is loaded for the same instrument.

I would need to find an instrument that is available on more than one exchange. Are there no Stock instruments available on more than one exchange?

I believe this was the case for SCHW (Charles Schwab) and WBA (Walgreens Boots Alliance). They traded both on NYSE and NASDAQ, but not anymore.

Sorry I don't have an example of a stock that trades on multiple exchanges.
