Error: No risk setting defined for instrument

I began getting this error recently when a strategy is opening a stock position.
Error: No risk setting defined for instrument

I followed instructions on this link and created a new risk parameter template.

That worked...

But is there a way to default all instruments (stocks) to some global setting in a template or is it necessary that I manually type each stock into the template?

Thanks for your post.

I have moved it to the Platform Technical Support forum because Risk templates are applied to accounts and are not specific to strategies.

Risk templates must have settings configured per instrument and there is not a way to configure multiple instruments at once.

If it helps for quick testing, you could consider creating a second simulation account that does not have a risk template applied if you would like to test instruments that do not have Risk settings defined in the Risk template. You can right click in the Accounts tab of the control Center to add a new Sim account.
