Viewing ASX Stocks using Iteractive Broker connection

I have setup an IB Connection on NT 8. Can anybody tell me how to view ASX stock data from IB on the NT 8 platform...Thanks

Thanks for your post.



NinjaTrader comes preloaded with the most commonly traded instruments, but not ASX instruments.. Should you wish to add an instrument to your database that is not located in the preloaded lists, please follow these steps:

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments window.
• Left-click on the ‘add’ button that appears near the lower right-hand corner of the Instruments window.
• Enter instrument-specific symbol mapping, exchanges, and other information on the Instrument editor that appears. This information will largely depend on your broker or data feed provider’s specific settings regarding the instrument in question.
• Left-click the OK button once each field has been filled out with correct information.

The new instrument has now been created in your database. Should you wish to add this instrument to an instrument list:

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments Lists window.
• Left-click to select the instrument list that you wish to add this instrument to in the left panel, then left-click on the ‘add’ button at the bottom of the right-hand panel.
• Type the name and (if applicable) front month of your instrument in the search field that appears. Press the Enter button on your keyboard to confirm this change.
• Left-click the OK button to close the Instrument Lists window.

Your new instrument is now added to the instrument list of your choice.

Thank you so much for this information.
I have managed to get one stock from ASX onto the platform but cannot get others. The others are open on the IB platform?
Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Any ideas?

Hmmm Successfully loaded one chart using IB Connection but cannot load others. The symbols have been mapped.

Have you assured these instruments have been mapped to the ASX and according to Interactive Brokers symbol mapping? I suspect one or the other is not correctly mapped.

I think, you are looking for WEBJET. Could be SMLS3 in Ninja.

I have had some success setting up some ASX stocks with IB data but not WEB (Webjet). I have used the same symbol mapping settings as the stocks that I can get into NT8 but nothing comes up. The chart within IB's TWS is displaying ok so am still at a loss to understand why this would not work.

Have run out of ideas. Anybody with experience in this prepared to advise?

Did you need live date from IB .. or could you just pull delayed data through.

Ive been trying to setup but get msg 'no market data permissions for asx'
