trouble installing newest version

NinjaTrader 8 Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run Setup Wizard again. Click the Finish button to exit the Setup Wizard.

This is what I run into when I try to install the latest version of 8. I've tried uninstalling the existing version and it didn't work. I hope I didn't lose any strategies or indicators I had worked on... Watching the install, the last part it was working on was "deleting shortcuts" and things like that.

The most common reason for this to occur is if a Windows Update is currently in the progress of being installed or is pending. Especially if this update involves the .NET Framework it can keep the NinjaTrader installation from failing.

To resolve this, please ensure Windows Update does not currently install any updates, then restart your PC before re-attempting the update.
