How do I "Run the repair utility to check the database file" in Ninjatrader 8 please

Hi,

I am getting the following

Unable to connect to DB: The database file may be corrupted. Run the repair utility to check the database file. [Database name = C:\Users\User\Documents\ninjatrader 8\db\ninjatrader.sdf]

I can find the file but cannot open it or not sure what to do with it.

You can repair the NinjaTrader 8 database using the instructions below.

• Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via Control Center > Connections > Disconnect
• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Database Management
• Click on 'Repair DB'
• Press the "Repair" button

Hey Jason,

I'm getting the same error message on startup before the control center opens. How do I run the repair utility if I don't have access to the control center?

It sounds like you were able to resolve this, based on your messages in our other thread. However, for anyone else that may be reviewing this in the future, we'd generally recommend sending an email to platformsupport(at)ninjatrader(dot)com if this message is preventing you from opening the platform with a description of the issue and your database file attached. Your database file is located on your PC at C:\Users\<Yourusername>\Documents\Ninjatrader 8\db\ninjatrader.sdf. From there, we'd likely recommend renaming the database file and creating a new one.
