Sim101 not taking value in Backtesting

Hi,

I was told that to Backtest an account cash value, all I have to do is to set the Sim101 account to that value and then run the Backtesting, this value would be updated and run accordingly to whatever I set Sim101 with.
The problem is that no matter what value I set Sim101, when Backtesting, the cash value always goes back to $100,000.00. I tried to re-start NT and also tried to open an new Strategy Analyzer and still I get the same...

Am I missing something here? or when Backtesting I always have to use $100,000.00 as cash value in the account?

Thank you for your post.

When backtesting using the Strategy Analyzer there is no means to set the values of the account. You would instead implement internal calculations in your strategy to calculate and track your own custom values for the desired account values. However, when backtesting using the Playback account in the Playback connection, that will inherit the settings for the Sim101 account.

Cash Value would need to be a variable you create and track for the strategy during the backtests in the Strategy Analyzer. As far as profit you can use the TradePerformance: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG.../cumprofit.htm
