Strategy sending order to "order working" latency with IB

Do any traders out here have an opinion or experience in getting the lowest latency from strategy submitting an order to getting the log message "order working" with IB? Out of Europe to the CME I get various latencies from 1 second to 5 seconds (generally at the open). Any experienced users out there with thoughts on this? Getting a VPS is pointless if the IB side of things takes so long. Regards to all

Thanks for your post.

I have moved the thread as a question regarding latency between submitting orders and reaching a state of Working would not be specific to strategy development.

Many users choose to use a Virtual Private Server to get lower latency with order submissions. There are also services in our EcoSystem that offer Virtual Private Servers. If you would like more details, please let me know and we can have a colleague share more information.

I am looking at a VPS right now that cuts latency from my PC to Chicago server from 103ms to 2ms. Problem is that if IB takes 3 seconds to get an order working then this saving is not very meaningful. Any thoughts / experiences on this at US market open from other users?
