3rd party vendor Strategy

Hi! I have a question regarding the licensing of 3rd party vendor products. I just bought a strategy, imported but wasnt able to add it. I needed to provide my Machine ID to the vendor for it to work. My questions is: Once the vendor gives the permission to any person to use the strat, is it possible for him to remove that permission at any time, or once its done its done. I have the fear of suddenly waking up and not be able to use the strat anymore, ending in a scam per say. Hope someone can provide me some info about this topic.
