Chart Template vs Tab Name

NT 8.0.24.0.

A chart with 7 panels saved as a chart template. Load that same template on another tab with 7 panels, but for different instruments. The template changes things as expected, except that the tab name is changed to the name of the tab which was saved as the template. Why does the tab name change? IMHO, it should not.

Thanks for your post.

Chart properties, chart panel properties, and indicator settings are saved as a Chart Template.

Tabs will act as independent instance of a window inside of the chart. The Tab name defaults to the instrument and expiration, but can be changed by right clicking on the chart while on the desired tab> Properties.

Hi Marco,

I should have said that I already have changed the Tab Names to be custom names in all tabs. I do not think that applying a template should change the already custom name to the custom name of the tab which was used when saving the template. After all, the instruments on the tabs do not change; neither should the name of the tab.
