I downloaded Ninja trader 8 NASDAQ 12-20 contract it is not listed under instrument please advise

You can use the instrument search feature to instantly pull up a searchable list at any time. Please go to New > Chart > Click inside of the instrument drop-down area, and type the symbol of the instrument you want > For example Search (NQ or NASDAQ) and double click the Futures instrument you want to create a chart of in the list of instruments > Select Minute for the Type > Enter the interval you want in the Value area > Click OK.

This instrument will also be added to the recent instruments list and can be chosen from that list when creating a new chart or SuperDOM.

You can load data for an older instrument by typing the old contract month into the instrument selection area. For example, when downloading data, if the current NQ 03-21 instrument shows, then remove the 03-21 and type 12-20 and then download the data.

In the images, I see that you are using 'NQ' in the instruments area. Please type 'NQ 12-20' in the instruments area and press Enter to resolve.

I did that NQ 12-20 the screen goes black nothing comes up

NQ 12-20 is an expired contract. NQ 03-21 is the current one.
