Running NT 7 and NT 8 Concurrently

I have NT 7 and am trying to get up to speed with NT8. I've loaded and configured NT 8 but when I connect it concurrently with NT 7 it disconnects NT 7 to run NT 8.
What are my options?

Hello Taddypole,

NinjaTrader 7 and 8 can run on the same PC and at the same time. However, this would only apply to the platform(s) directly.

Most brokerages and datafeed providers limit the connection to one concurrent connection, regardless of which platform or IP you access the account from.

Even if the connection is requested through the same IP, a second connection is usually rejected (or logs the first connection out).

The only way to change this behavior would be to reach out to your brokerage directly and request a second login. Most brokerages will be able to enable this for the same login or will supply you with a second login that accesses the same account.
