Issue with candlestick spacing and multiple data series

I seem to have an issue with NT8 that results in one or both dataseries having uneven spacing. This is a result even if the second dataseries is in a different panel.

Attached to this post is a picture of a 377 tick chart that was not having an issue painting candlesticks (the spacing was proper) but as soon as I attached a second dataseries of 144 in the lower pane the candlestick spacing became very spaced out. This also affects other indicator painting such as stochastics causing it to be out of proportion as well.

However, on other dataseries combinations (say a 15second and a 30 second, or 1minute and 3 minute) there is no spacing issue.

Is there a setting that can be changed to remedy this, or is this an inherent issue with NT8?

Thanks for your post.

This is because tick based charts do not consider time in the determination of when the candlesticks plot. You can right click on the chart> Data Series> select the secondary series> change the Scale Justification to Overlay to remove this from the scale consideration in the plotting of the series.

I changed scale justification to overlay in my secondary series yet I am still having the same spacing issue.

Hello,

Since both data series are using the same x axis, placing a different interval on the same chart will cause one chart to become skewed. You can right click the chart and select 'properties' and uncheck 'equidistant bar spacing', but this likely isn't what you are looking for.

The only way to have consistent chart spacing would be to create two different chart windows in this case.
