first time caught during market close

Hey team!

Some quick questions, i got caught out today when the ES market closed at 12:00pm i was wondering with the market closed can i close my open position or am i kind of locked in?

also how much available funds do i need to keep the trade open, is there costs involved? im sorry im a bit new and dont understand this yet. im just worried ill endup getting a large charge from this im with ninjatrader/dorman

i have a stoploss and sell setup prior to market close do those also stay in place?
