Is there a way to take a short position from the Chart Trader?

If you're trading futures or forex, then simply right click below the current price and select one of the sell options. With futures and forex, positions are net out so selling when you have no position is going short. Is this what you mean?

Hello MatthewLesko,

Please note that when you submit a sell limit order below the current market price, it will fill right away at the current market price as this is a better price. You would submit a sell stop market or sell stop limit order instead.
