    Does anyone know what this error is?

    I recently uninstalled and reinstalled NT8 and this is the error message that keeps coming up whenever I try and launch the program. Is this a documented issue and if so can someone point me in the direction as how to fix it.

    Thank you for your post.

    This behavior usually indicates there is another program making changes to NinjaTrader files such as an anti-virus or automatic backup program on your PC.

    Do you have any anti-virus software or backup software running on your system?

    Ensure exceptions have been added into any firewall/antivirus/backup programs for the Documents/NinjaTrader 8, C:\Program Files (x86)\NinjaTrader 8, and C:\Program Files\NinjaTrader 8 folders?

    Then try and reinstall NinjaTrader and test to see if you experience the same.

    Please try and download and install NinjaTrader from the following link:

    You may download the platform here

    Once downloaded, run it and select the 'Repair' option.

    Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

    If you continue to see the same issue. Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred. You can do this by using the platform or manually using the steps below:

    Please send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with your log and trace files included as an attachment to the email, so I may investigate this matter further.
    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

    Put '2948062 - Att Shawn', in the subject field and enable 'Log and trace files'. Also, give a reference of this thread in the body of the email.
