Interactive Brokers CFD Symbols in NT8

Hello Forum,

I'm too stupid to load FX CFD Symbols to Ninjatrader8. Refferig to this symbold website:

Could you help me here what to type in for example for EURUSD ?

Hello fernlicht,

Can you please enter @EURUSD in the Instrument field of the NinjaTrader window to select the EURUSD CFD. Left click in the Instrument field and hit Backspace on your keyboard. Then type @EURUSD and hit Enter on your keyboard. CFD's use @ in front of their symbol name in NinjaTrader.

You can find all CFD's present by default at Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments. Set Search to CFD.

when I load a chart with @EURUSD it says loading... in the corner but no bars appear. I have to check if I^m able to receive price data from IB now... Thx

Same problem: CFD's can"t be dowloaded from IB, whatever symbol you use, can you please help?

Hello rodoid,

Unfortunately not all CFD instruments are supported with Interactive Brokers in NinjaTrader. Do you load data for the @SPX500 CFD instrument?

To check what CFD instruments are supported, please go to Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments. Set the Search field to CFD. Double click a CFD instrument and check if there is a symbol map entered for the Interactive Brokers row. If there is no text in this field, it is not supported.

Forex CFDs are not currently supported with Interactive Brokers. We do have a feature request for this functionality, and I have added a vote for you to this request that is being tracked under the number SFT-319.

As with all feature requests, interest is tracked before implementation is considered, so we cannot offer an ETA or promise of fulfillment. If implemented, it will be noted in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide.

Hello Kate,

great. I'll track the progress in the Release Notes then.
As an IB customer, for me it would be really great if I could use only the
NT platform instead of a separate other platform to trade the currency markets.
In europe generally CFDs are nearly inevitable today for proprietary traders
(you know, since the european regulator doesn't allow forex margin trading
anymore, like the us regulator does).
I wish there will be any solution for that soon!
