Assertion error

Hello NinjaTrader.

I haven't opened the platform for a long time and now when I try I get the following error without success (see attached image). I don't remember what I did the last time. I have completely reinstalled the NinjaTrader8 application and deleted the path c: \ Users \ ccruells \ Documents \ NinjaTrader8 \ and I still cannot enter the platform. I don't care about losing data.

Can you help me and tell me how I can reopen the platform without problem, please?

The error typically indicates something else on your PC access/blocks/scans files while NinjaTrader needs to use them.

Can you please check if your virus scanner or any other application access/blocks/scans files in the C:\Users\ccruells\Documents\NinjaTrader 8 folder. Make sure to configure your virus scanner or other application (automatic backup software for example) so that none of the files in this directory would be scanned/locked/accessed or remove that directory from the scanning list.

The error can also be caused by a recent Windows update and/or Windows Defender that set the Windows security setting of "Controlled Folder Access" to "On".

• Please search in Windows for "Controlled Folder Access".
• Click on "Controlled Folder Access".
• Turn "Controlled Folder Access" to Off
