    duplicate machine IDs

    I've just installed NT8 on my second computer, in order to use NT8 in Playback on one machine, while trading live in the other machine. However, I noticed that the machine IDs are identical on both computers. Will it cause issues with NT or my 3rd party plugins to use two computers with the same machine ID?

    Normally you have a different machine id on each computer. You would then contact the 3rd party vendor to authorize the machine id of the 2nd computer, so you can use the add-ons there as well. However you have the same machine id on both computers, so this step would not make sense.

    I don't recall I ever came across such a case before and don't know if this causes any issues. Are you able to install and use the add-ons as expected on both computers?

      Interesting. Plugins have installed fine so far, but I haven't tried using them yet. I'll report back if I experience problems. Both computers are the same model, so that's the only explanation I have for the duplicate machine IDs.
