    Equities Options Order Entry

    Hi, I am trying to get comfortable around NT8 features. In exploring Options chains, I couldn't find a way to create a must-leg options order (Vertical Spreads, etc) on the Basic Entry or Order Entry. It seems I can only submit a single option order. Does NT8 support multi-leg options? and If so, how to enter an order, exit positions, etc?

    Unfortunately multi-leg options orders are not supported at this time. I have submitted this as a feature request to the Development Team. I will follow up with an internal tracking number for your reference as soon as it is created.

          Has any additional progress been made updating the options chain to support multi leg orders?

            This feature request has not been implemented in the NinjaTrader platform yet.

            Deciding on features for future releases is not a simple black and white decision. There are many factors involved including but not limited to:
            • Demand which is measured by objective user requests and subjective discretion on the part of our Product Management team.
            • Feasibility
            • Developer bandwidth
            • Current projects in the queue
            • Economics
            You'll find a note regarding your feature request in the release notes when a feature is implemented.​

              How do you trade options through ninja trader?
              I don't find any info on the website.

                Thanks for your note.

                The Options Chain window (New > Options Chain) can be used to see a listing of all available options contracts, along with current quotes, for the selected security.

                Submitting options orders is done by linking an order entry window, then clicking on a bid or ask price within the options quotes section of the Option Chain.

                  How do I get support on issues with my options ticker list and quotes not being displayed, the underlying instrument chart confirms data is being received .

                  I have reached out to support multiple times over 3 days now, but no real urgency is seen towards resolving my issue.

                  What do I have to do to get some support!!

                    For assistance on the behavior you described, please write in to support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with a brief description of your issue and attach your log and trace files to your email. One of our Support technicians will be happy to assist you as soon as they are available.

                    Follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your email.
                    • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
                    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
                    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
