Bought 3rd part indictor, tried to install and get error asking to reinstall nt8

    Bought 3rd part indictor, tried to install and get error asking to reinstall nt8

    I bought a 3rd party indicator , it crashed ny8 and now I get an error saying reinstall NT8 because "unable to recover custom assembly.

    Vendor.dll is being used by another process.

    Please advice.

    Thanks for writing in.
    You will need to reinstall NinjaTrader 8 to resolve this error.

    Please follow the steps listed below to completely uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader.
    • Close all running applications.
    • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
    • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
    • Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
    • Reboot your PC.
    • Once these steps are completed, download and install NT8 from the link below.

      will I have a new machine id?

        We are unable to say for certain if there will be a new machine ID if you are to reboot your PC. NinjaTrader does not control your machine ID directly. Your machine ID is generated by NinjaTrader based on your PC's fundamental hardware (like RAM, motherboard, etc.) and fundamental software (BIOS/UEFI version, Windows updates, firmware updates, etc.). If any of these items change, your machine ID is likely to change as well. There is no way to manually change your machine ID.

                I think I got it all worked out. Is it possible to have a small trial of live data to make sure it is working okay? I am back from awhile off of trading.
