Facing an issue while installing Ninja Trader 8 (64-bit)

Hello All, I get an error message while trying to re-install Ninja Trader 8 (screenshot attached). Facing the same issue even trying to uninstall Ninja Trader 8(64-bit). Can anyone assist?

Can you please check if any virus/firewall/automated backup software is blocking NinjaTrader. Make sure exceptions have been added for NinjaTrader or temporarily disable such software and check if this will make a difference.

The error can also be caused by a recent Windows update and/or Windows Defender that set the Windows security setting of "Controlled Folder Access" to "On".

• Please search in Windows for "Controlled Folder Access".
• Click on "Controlled Folder Access".
• Turn "Controlled Folder Access" to Off

Hi Jason - thanks for the response. So even in case of any updates to Ninja Trader8; all I need to do is to ensure that the Controlled Folder Access is tuned to off. Is there anything else that I need to take off to prevent this issue reoccuring?

If you experience the same error again in the future when installing a new NinjaTrader 8 version, please check if "Controlled Folder Access" is set to Off.
