Problem compiling strategy from VS

Hello NT,

I am new to Ninjatrader strategy development and I was working on developing a new strategy through Visual Studio and I probably did something which does not allow me to compile my code anymore. When I load the strategy, the indicators are plotted on the chart normally, but the editor shows errors.I have attached the message I get which I guess is a general issue because it shows problem on all indicators coding. I tried many ways to fix it on VS but I have not managed to do solve it. I attached two screenshots of my VS set up and the error on the Ninjascript editor.

Could you please give me an idea how would it be possible to fix it?

Hello yannistsoupakis,

You cannot compile from Visual Studio. If you leave the editor open and save the file, NinjaTrader with automatically detect a file has changed and will automatically compile.

"Tip: You can also use Visual Studio as editor for your NinjaScript files - for that open the project as in step 2 above and then use Visual Studio for editing and once done save the file (don't run or build the solution then in Visual Studio), preferably with the NinjaScript editor opened still at the same time, so changes would be auto compiled in then."

If you have attempted to compile from Visual Studio this will break the project.

Delete the folder:

• Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\obj

If this does not correct the compile error, please provide a screenshot of the references window.
