    Tradingview to nt8

Hello, I am new to this platform, coming from Tradingview and would like to ask some questions.

Basically, I am trying to make my NT8 charts look and function like my Tradingview charts and I am stuck on a few items.

1 - Can you zoom in and out on your chart with the mouse wheel?

2 - Can you make the wick on a candle the same color as the candle body?

3 - Is it possible to make the Keltner Channel Indicator exponential? There is a check box for exponential in Tradingview.

4 - Is there a way to have a count down timer for the current bar placed on the chart near the right margin price axis, or anywhere on the chart?

5 - Can you lock the Data Window in place? Every time I right click it vanishes.

6 - Can you plot volume as red for down bars and green for up bars - I have only found one color for volume candles.

7 - Can you adjust the candle width and the candle spacing? I can find width but not spacing.

8 - The bottom time axis is divided into seven minute breaks for some reason, can it be made to just do 10 min , 5 min 1 hour markers.

Its a lot, thank you for hearing me out. Nice to be here.

    Hello bob999,

    Thank you for your note.

"1 - Can you zoom in and out on your chart with the mouse wheel?"

No. However, In your chart, you could press Ctrl + Down Arrow Key to zoom in and create space between your bars and zoom in.

You could press the Ctrl + Up Arrow Key to zoom out and decrease space between your bars and zoom out.

"2 - Can you make the wick on a candle the same color as the candle body?"

No. There is only one default candle wick color option.

"3 - Is it possible to make the Keltner Channel Indicator exponential? There is a check box for exponential in Tradingview."

There is not an option for this in the properties menu of the indicator.

"4 - Is there a way to have a count down timer for the current bar placed on the chart near the right margin price axis, or anywhere on the chart?"

There is not an option for this in the properties menu of the indicator.

"5 - Can you lock the Data Window in place? Every time I right click it vanishes."

Please right-click on your Data box window and Check "Always On Top".

"6 - Can you plot volume as red for down bars and green for up bars - I have only found one color for volume candles."

Right-click on your chart and select indicators. Then find the Volume Up Down indicator and click Add and OK.

"7 - Can you adjust the candle width and the candle spacing? I can find width but not spacing."

There is not an option that directly controls spacing, However, you could press Ctrl + Down Arrow Key to zoom in and create space between your bars and zoom in.

You could press the Ctrl + Up Arrow Key to zoom out and decrease space between your bars and zoom out.

"8 - The bottom time axis is divided into seven minute breaks for some reason, can it be made to just do 10 min , 5 min 1 hour markers."

You would need to Left-click drag on the time and date axis to stretch or shrink the chart horizontally until the desired times are shown.

Yes, you can zoom in and out on your chart using the mouse wheel in NinjaTrader 8 (NT8).
Customizing the appearance of candlesticks, including making the wick the same color as the candle body, is possible in NT8. You can adjust these settings in the "Data Series" configuration.
In NT8, you can configure the Keltner Channel Indicator to be exponential by selecting the "EMA (Exponential Moving Average)" option in the "Plot" section.
