    IB Connection is orange and market stream does not work

    Hello,
    I have used NT8 and IB API now for several months and automated algo trading without any major issues.

    Today, I updated to newest version of NT8 and IB Gateway and when I connect NT8
    I get a yellow connection light, then green and then orange. Means I cannot get market data.

    When I execute IB Gateway by itself it shows me that everything is OK, also market data.

    I'm running NT8 on Amazon EC2/AWS Zone Europe
    and I looked at

    for connectivity, but it seems its online

    Any suggestions how to fix that? Do you need more info?

    PS. I checked my backup EC2 instance, which has an older NT8 version 8.0.19.1 64-bit and also older IB Gateway(973).
    This shows the same thing... Yellow...Green....Orange
    And I checked it from my development PC, here in Switzerland, and again same result on 8.0.22.2 and IB Gateway(973),
    yellow, green, orange


    So, what could be the problem?

    Thanks for your post.

    You'll need to be using the supported version of TWS as per the connection guide below to ensure the connection functions correctly- this is not the most recent version of TWS:

      Hi Marco,
      I'm using IB Gateway not TWS, any suggestions on that ?
      And yes on my productive system i'm using IB Gateway 978.2c and the very latest NT8 version. and yes i know the guide you mentioned since it's been working now since April this year

        fernlicht, IB is down at the moment. Luckily I flattened my position 2 hours ago

          fernlicht , BTW, I had the Orange light as well. It's been reported that the IB datafram was disconnected but all my data was already configured to Kinetick preferred.
          Seems to me IB is down worldwide...
